Middle School Program

Cleary School offers a variety of options for Middle School aged children. Depending on each child’s individual needs, children in grades six, seven and eight are offered the following programs:

• Full Day: Self-Contained Class at Cleary School’s Nesconset Campus

• Split-Time Day: Self-Contained Class at Cleary School’s Nesconset Campus and Integrated Classes at East Islip Middle School

• Full Day Mainstream: Integrated Classes at East Islip Middle School

Planned according to each child’s individual abilities, a mainstream program may be developed for inclusion in academic, technology and/or elective classes with hearing peers. The self-contained classrooms at our Nesconset Campus provide instruction in the core subjects as well as electives such as gym, art, dance and daily living skills.
