Once upon a time, a preschool for some students who are deaf and some who are not was once without any outdoor playground equipment because it was deemed unsafe.
Staff, families, friends of Cleary School made a conscious effort to reach out to our community through News 12 and social media to share our dilemma. The response was overwhelmingly positive. I want to take the time to thank everyone who removed old equipment, cut down trees, carted away garbage and excavated the ground. We are also thankful to those who invested in the equipment that will assist the Cleary School for the Deaf students to play and develop their social, physical, language, and academic skills. We are grateful and awed by a community that has provided Cleary with a playground that is worth $150,000.00. We want to thank:
