Human Resources / Administrative Assistant


Cleary School for the Deaf seeks a full-time Human Resources/Administrative Assistant.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Human Resources:
Post job openings, schedule interviews, process all pre and post hire paperwork, perform pre-hire background checks, maintain employee credential listing, maintain employee files, manage FMLA, Worker’s Compensation and NYS Disability/Paid Family Leave claims, coordinate on-boarding of new employees with the business office.

Administrative Assistant/Secretarial:
Provide administrative support services to the Administrative Leadership Team including: typing, phone coverage, front desk coverage and maintaining calendar. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word) necessary as is the ability to multi-task. Excellent phone manner and organizational skills required.
