Primary Responsibilities: To provide audiological and related technological support services to children aged 0-21 in order to maximize auditory access in the educational environment. The Audiologist will perform audiological assessments, provide training to parents and staff, and oversee audiological supplies and equipment. The Educational Audiologist will function as a resource for the recommendation and maintenance of assistive listening technologies and will support listening skill development. Working knowledge of remote microphone assistive listening systems. Knowledge and/or experience and familiarity working within an ASL & LSL environment. Travel required between the Nesconset campus and satellite classes located within the East Islip School District.
Master’s Degree or Au.D. in Audiology
NYS Licensure: Audiology, Hearing Aid Dispenser
Experience with pediatric behavioral audiological assessments
